Food Truck Wrap

Work Category: Branding

This project was created for a design class, where the goal was to design a food truck wrap for a fictional business. A template was provided, which allowed me to focus more on the visual direction and branding rather than building the layout from scratch.

To begin the process, I researched existing food trucks with a similar concept. I noticed a strong use of bright colors and donut-related imagery. While I wanted to stay connected to those expectations, I also aimed to create something that felt more unique. I chose a neutral brown base to reflect the color of a plain donut, and added a light pink drizzle along the top to resemble frosting, creating a balance between familiarity and originality.

As I developed the design, I focused on maintaining clear and effective branding. The business name needed to stand out on the side of the truck, while additional details such as the website and contact information needed to be included without overwhelming the design. To address this, I placed that information on the back of the truck, allowing it to remain visible while keeping the main composition clean. I also incorporated the logo I designed for the brand to strengthen its identity and create a cohesive final piece.

Overall, this project helped me better understand how to balance creativity with practical design considerations. It reflects my ability to research, make intentional design choices, and create a visually engaging concept that aligns with a brand’s purpose while continuing to develop my skills as a designer.
